Siegfried Obert – a genuine institution is retiring

After four decades at Braunform, we bid farewell to Siegfried Obert - nicknamed Siggy - as he enters his well-deserved retirement. Since joining the company on April 27, 1987, he has been a reliable constant, a quiet perfectionist, and a true team player. With his calm manner, tireless dedication and impressive expertise, he has assembled hundreds of injection molds – products that millions of people use every day.

His professional journey began after completing his training as a machine fitter, which he started in 1977 and successfully finished in 1981. At Braunform, he started out in the coordinate grinding department before moving to the assembly department. There he became an indispensable source of know-how, particularly in the fields of electric, automotive and pharmaceutical technology. He was always the got-to person when it came to complex solutions and tricky challenges.

Siegfried Obert has been the calming influence in the assembly department – even under pressure, he always kept an overview and delivered perfect results. As the surface specialist of the assembly team, his expertise has significantly shaped the quality of our molds. In recent years, he also took care of our trainees during their training in the assembly department, passing on his knowledge with patience and commitment.

Outside of work, Siegfried is active: he loves hiking and enjoys skiing in winter, likes cycling and is involved with the fire brigade – passions he will now have more time for.
