From Apprentice to Influential Executive: Henry Breisacher Retires

When Henry Breisacher began his apprenticeship as a toolmaker at Braunform on September 1, 1979, terms like digitalization, laser welding, and modern EDM technology—as we understand them today—were still a long way off. Nearly 47 years later, he looks back on an extraordinary career that is closely intertwined with the company’s development.

Early on, Henry Breisacher found his professional niche in the field of electrical discharge machining (EDM). With extensive technical expertise, great dedication, and an eye for practical solutions, he became a key specialist within the company. In 1993, he took over management of the die-sinking and wire-cut EDM divisions and played a decisive role in shaping their further development. A year later, he successfully passed the master craftsman’s examination.

When he assumed the role of deputy production manager for mold making in 2008, Henry Breisacher once again expanded his area of responsibility. In the years that followed, he took over management of mold making with ÄRA, specifically the areas of modifications, repairs, and replacement parts, as well as laser welding and blasting technology, the development of which he played a key role in shaping. Through his technical expertise, many years of experience, and high standards for quality, he had a lasting impact on the development of these areas.

Those who worked with Henry Breisacher appreciated more than just his high level of professional expertise. His calm, level-headed, and consistently reliable demeanor made him a valued point of contact for colleagues across all departments. Even in challenging situations, he maintained the necessary composure, proving time and again that seriousness and humor need not be mutually exclusive.

With his retirement, Braunform bids farewell to an employee who has helped shape the company over the course of decades. The management team and the entire staff thank Henry Breisacher for his many years of loyalty, his extraordinary dedication, and the many ideas he contributed that had an impact far beyond his own area of responsibility.
